JChecker2.0 is the validation checker for HTML texts. It may be usefull for following situations.
Generally speaking, HTML editing tools can be divided into two groups; graphic (WYSIWYG) style and text style HTML editors.
For users of graphic style (WYSIWYG) HTML editors.
Many users tend to use graphic style HTML editors such as "Adobe Page Mill" and "Claris Home Page" because of their easiness in creating HTML.
However, when actually used, the displays of these pages might turn out differently according to browsers or their versions. Also, many users probably have experienced a situation where strange tags which dose not make sense appear after several modifications.
In such situations, please check the validation of the HTML text by JChecker. Errors might be found in the section where you are unsatisfied
As a rule, HTML written by graphic style HTML editors tend to be loose in HTML validation. Often, many errors and warnings are found by a validation check. In the case of HTML, there is no need to be too cautious about these errors and warnings because they are not fatal errors that of programs which may cause the system hangup. Only the modifications of unsatisfactory sections seem to be sufficient.
However, please be aware that, in the case of some HTML editors, sections cleaned by JChecker may be changed to dirty again during the re-reading process of GUI HTML editors.
For users of text style HTML editors.
Users of text base HTML editors with tag template functions are probably experts of HTML who are not satisfied with graphic style editors because of the defects described above.
By using text editors, precise expressions of HTML which will reflects the logical structure you want are possible. On the contrary, because any expression is possible, mistakes such as simple spelling errors or mistakes relating to include-exclude relationships of tags are often made. In such situation, a clean and simple HTML can be written if you use JChecker.
